How a family building-materials business in Klang became Malaysia's home for rescued tiles, and why we still believe good materials deserve a second chance.
In 2016, my father's building materials company became mine. I had already spent ten years in this trade, and I thought I knew it well. But it was only when the business was on my shoulders that I truly saw what the industry had taught everyone to ignore.
Warehouses full of brand new tiles that would never touch a floor. Pallets wrapped in plastic, driven to empty land, and left there. Materials that someone designed, someone fired in a kiln, someone shipped across an ocean. Buried, because a project ordered too much and throwing them away was cheaper than caring.
I could not make peace with that. Somewhere out there was a young couple doing their sums, wondering if they could afford to finish their first home. And here I was, standing in front of mountains of beautiful materials being treated as rubbish. The two problems were staring at each other. Someone just had to connect them.
So in 2017, I started HOMA2u.

It simply needed someone to believe it still had a home to go to. We check every piece, we tell you its condition honestly, and we price it so that quality stops being a luxury.
“So what is wrong with it?”
It is the first thing almost everyone asks us. It deserves a straight answer, so here it is.
Our materials are brand new. They were made to be sold, packed, and then the project that ordered them over-ordered, changed its mind, or never happened. The tile lost its buyer. It did not lose its quality.
Because the alternative for that stock is a landfill. A warehouse holding materials nobody is coming back for would rather move them than store them. We buy that surplus outright, and we pass the difference on instead of pricing to what the market will bear.
Then we say so before you buy. Every batch is checked and its condition described as it is. We would rather lose a sale than have a pallet arrive at your site as a surprise.
Surplus is finite. When a batch is gone, it is gone, and there is no reordering the same shade next month. So buy your full quantity plus wastage in one go. Our consultants will help you work out how much that is.

Factories, projects and importers come to us with brand-new stock they no longer need. We take it before it reaches a landfill.

Every batch is counted, inspected and graded. Quantity, size, finish and condition are listed honestly online.
